Dr. Nelson specializes in the treatment of port wine stains, hemangiomas and other vascular birthmarks of human skin. He has more than 20 years of experience in the treatment of these lesions in patients of all ages and parts of the body. Dr. Nelson developed the "Dynamic Cooling Device" for use in conjunction with laser treatment of these vascular birthmarks and this is now the preferred therapy, available worldwide in more than 15,000 laser devices. This technological advance has allowed the treatment of vascular birthmarks in infants and young children to become a standard practice.
